Facebook Privacy Issue: ALL The Phone Numbers From Your Phone Are Now Published On Facebook

Now in latest insane development ALL THE PHONE NUMBERS IN YOUR PHONE are now PUBLISHED on Facebook!

How to remove phone number from facebook?

Go to the top right of the screen, click on Account, then click on Edit Friends, go left on the screen and click on Contacts.

You will see all your phone numbers (FB friends or not) are published that you have stored in your mobile phone. TO REMOVE, go to the right column, click on "this page."

When you click "this page" this is the instructions it gives:

Remove Imported Contacts

Imported contacts are displayed on your Invites and Imported Contacts page and synced mobile contacts are displayed in your Facebook Phonebook. Contacts may be used to improve the quality of friend suggestions for you and your friends.

If you remove imported and synced contacts:

Friend suggestions for you and your friends may become less relevant.Your phonebook will no longer include synced contacts, but will still display the contact info of friends who have included it on their profiles.

Note: Before you click Remove, you need to make sure syncing is switched off.

To do this, open the Facebook application on your iPhone, click the Friends icon in the main menu, then click Sync in the upper-right.

Please re-post this on your Status, so your friends can remove their numbers and thus prevent abuse if they do not want them published.”

Anonymous Vows to 'Destroy' Facebook on November 5, 2011

A YouTube video labelled as a message from Anonymous claimed that "Operation Facebook" would take place on November 5. its aim was to destroy the social network on the grounds that it abused the privacy of users, the video said.

Your medium of communication you all so dearly adore will be destroyed. If you are a willing hacktivist or a guy who just wants to protect the freedom of information then join the cause and kill facebook for the sake of your own privacy.

Facebook has been selling information to government agencies and giving clandestine access to information security firms so that they can spy on people from all around the world. Some of these so-called whitehat infosec firms are working for authoritarian governments, such as those of Egypt and Syria.

Everything you do on Facebook stays on Facebook regardless of your "privacy" settings, and deleting your account is impossible, even if you "delete" your account, all your personal info stays on Facebook and can be recovered at any time. Changing the privacy settings to make your Facebook account more "private" is also a delusion. Facebook knows more about you than your family. Source
